1.All work is done by a professional projectionist that was trained by one of the country's largest 35 mm film manufacturers.

2. Amazing Video Services records your film using a professional telecine film converter which keeps the outside light out, thereby increasing color and contrast and utilizes a five blade, drop frame projector to insure a "flicker free" transfer of your films.

3. Some film transfer companies use consumer cameras to record your films. At Amazing Video Services, we use professional three chip broadcast cameras (the kind TV stations use!) to capture as much of the color and clarity the original films have to offer.

4. Amazing Video Services transfer all your film through a color corrector. In doing so we can offset any discoloration of the films created by deterioration from age or poor storage.

5. All film transfers are monitored by a technician and recorded on professional recording decks. This enables us to "edit out" any sections of film that are totally black or white for more than five seconds or portions of the film that are not viewable.

6. Finally, to insure trouble free playback that will last for many years, all film is transferred to Professional grade VHS tape and placed in a protective sleeve for years of enjoyment.

Your Questions, Our Answers: 
Q: Will my film be returned to me?
A: Yes, all your film will be returned to you.  
In fact, you will actually get  your film back in better shape than you left it. 

Q: Will my films look exactly the same on the video as they do when I run them through my projector?
A: Although your transfer will look great, video, as a medium, cannot store the amount of information film offers. Because of this, there is a loss of  color, contrast and clarity when compared directly to the film. Amazing Video Services takes every possible measure to maintain as much of  the film's integrity by using only professional transferring equipment, three chip cameras and the color correctors. There is also a 4:3 difference in screen ratio between film and video. This makes it impossible to record all four edges of your films at the same time, though you will probably never even notice it missing. 

Q: How long will I have to wait before the transfer is done? 
A: Normal turn around time for film transfer is seven to ten days (but  usually sooner, in which case we'll call you). 

Q: I'd like to have a title in between each film reel. Would you do that for me?
A: Absolutely! Extra titles may be added to your transfer for a nominal fee.

Q: How many reels of home movies will fit on a maximum of each two hour videotape? 
A: Measurements:
3" inch reel = 50 FT. 5" inch reel = 200 FT. 6" inch reel = 300 FT. 7" inch reel = 400 FT.  
Maximum per 2 hour videotape:  
1,700 feet 8mm, 2000 feet Super 8mm, 3,400 feet 16mm or 700 slides or photos.
