Duplication and Replication
The public has taken to the CD
like no other media before. The audio CD is the most popular
pre-recorded music format today, and is being increasingly selected as the
media of choice for additional uses such as books, tutorials and training.Foremost, the audio
CD has established a quality of fidelity previously unknown in the industry. "CD quality" has come to mean the
highest quality. Coupled with outstanding stability and durability,
this makes the audio CD the hands down preferred audio format.
Another major benefit of the audio CD vs. tape is the capability for
non-linear playback. The user has the ability to easily choose the
track sequence; this makes the audio CD particularly attractive.
Furthermore, the economical cost of production has opened up the use of this
technology to developing musical artists and to a wide variety of
corporate applications, even for very small runs.
AVS is on the leading edge of CD manufacturing. We have built our
reputation on quality, service, turnaround, flexibility and value
unsurpassed in the industry. We have no house in-captive labels,
This means your schedule won't get "bumped" by our in-house
priority.
AVS offers the personalized service and expertise that your CD production
deserves. No matter what size of your run, we will commit the
resources of our manufacturing, packaging and distribution processes and
services to ensure the highest quality, most professional product is
delivered on time, every time (even for the most demanding schedules) and
to your complete satisfaction.
CD-R & CD-ROM
Duplication
(Often called "dumping" or "burning") is the digital
method of creating CDs, rather than a traditional manufacturing process
like CD Replication. CD-Rs begin just like replicated CDs. Raw
materials enter a CD press and the base of a CD is formed. Then,
instead of stamping information onto the CD, an organic layer of dye
is applied. The CD-R is then finished off with a reflective surface
and protective layers, leaving a blank recordable CD.
CD-R duplication requires less set-up time than CD Replication. Glass
masters are not created from your master so manufacturing can begin right
away . For this reason, CD-R duplication is perfect for short runs
under 1000.
Smaller volume CDs are duplicated with our established new level of
quality, price and convenience for small quantity short run CDs.
Coupled with the highest quality raw media, we extend our expertise to the
CD arena. All one offs meet exacting quality specifications.
With several layers of data verification you can be sure that every CD is
100% accurate. Direct 4 color printing on the CD-R is also available
as well as numerous packing options.
CD-R & CD-ROM
Duplication
(Often called "pressing" or "molding")
is the original and traditional
method for manufacturing CDs. Raw materials enter a large CD molding
machine and the basic CD is created first. The data or audio information is
physically stamped onto the CD using stampers made from a glass master
which is created from your source master. The CD is then finished off with
protective layers and is ready for silk screen printing.
This
method of manufacturing CDs requires that a minimum of 1000 units be pressed. Because of the amount of time and materials involved in setting up
each replication run, it is not cost-efficient to produce less.
Larger
volume CDs are manufactured in a class 100 % clean room environment which
features a three step process including injection molding, metalizing and
lacquering. As part of the manufacturing process, every CD is scanned in-line to identify and reject mechanical flaws and optical imperfections.
The color screen printer then adds eye catching full process color printing
directly onto your CDs. Upon completion of the CD, we move on to printing of
booklets, tray cards and a variety of creative packaging which includes
cases and sleeves.
